Kieran Gough

I was born in Essex to Irish Parents and moved to Dublin in 1989. As the third child of four I was a cheeky brat at the age of 12/13 when my Mother enrolled me in the Betty Ann Norton Theatre School on Harcourt Street. I spent an amazing week there with a class of 6 lads and 17 girls..... Heaven!

I was also fortunate enough to have had the most encouraging Drama teachers both at Betty Ann Norton , in the guise of Jim Culleton, Karen Ardiff and Betty-Ann herself and also at my Secondary school Blackrock College where my enthusiasm was nurtured by some wonderful people.

I went to University College Dublin where I studied Economics and English. I had the most amazing time and acted in some dubious plays but made some (hopefully) life-long friends.

I have lived in London since 2006 and have been blessed enough to work at the Manchester Royal Exchange, The Tricycle Theatre, Riverside Studios, The Phoenix Theatre and the Old Red Lion. On screen I have worked with the likes of Johnathon Rhys Meyers, Madeline Stowe, Bruce Greenwood, Henry Cavill, Torrance Coombs and Emmy-award winning Director Dearbhla Walsh.

All of them have taught me so much about the kind of Professional I want to be. my love for film and theatre means a lot of my spare time is taken up seeing films, shows, plays, comedy and blagging my way into whatever I can’
